കുരുമുളക് പറിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നിലത്തു വീഴുന്ന കുരുമുളക് മണികള്‍ പെറുക്കുക എന്നതായിരുന്നു എന്റെയും ചേട്ടന്റെയും ഡ്യൂട്ടി. മുത്തശ്ശന്‍ കുറച്ചു മാറി കയ്യാലയുടെ ചുമരില്‍ ചാരി നില്‍ക്കുന്നുണ്ടാകും. ആകെയുള്ള മൂന്നു ചെടികളിലെ കുരുമുളക് പറിക്കാന്‍ ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്ണന് ഒരു ദിവസം വേണം. ആ ഒരു ദിവസം മുഴുവന്‍ ഞാനും ചേട്ടനും കയ്യില്‍ ഓരോ പാത്രവുമായി പറമ്പില്‍ ഉണ്ടാകും.

Urakam Devaswom Office

Urakam Devaswam Office is an old building that stands adjacent to the Temple. The traditional architecture somehow gives the building a nostalgic beauty. Yellow colored doors and windows, old stone lamps built right into the wall and the blue balcony work together to create this magical feeling. So here is the Devaswam Office for those who have not yet seen it yet.

Blue Chair

The Other day i was walking home after a brain draining session of ISA lectures. Painting crew has been busy whitewashing the Gopurams and Protective Wall of the temple. It was late afternoon and the road was completly deserted. But there it was: a blue chair near the wall, left behind by one of the painters, patiently waiting for someone.
